Pets are a part of your family, and every member of your family could use a vacation from time to time. Why should your fur babies have to miss out on all the fun? Just because Alabama beaches do not allow pets on the sand, doesn’t mean they have to stay home. We’ve got tons of pet-friendly accommodations ready to help you pamper your pup with a paw-sitively perfect getaway!
Food for Fido
When dinner time rolls around and Fido needs his fill, check out some of our pup-tastic places to eat! With outdoor seating, your pet can spend quality time with you and your family, while enjoying the sights and smells! Woodside restaurant, located in Gulf State Park, is surrounded by plenty of grass to play in and trees for relaxing in the shade. Your good boy or girl will have a blast at The Gulf and a tail-waggin’ time at Tacky Jacks! Cosmo's creates a welcome environment for dog lovers and humans alike, allowing you to take home a doggie bag and signature souvenir from Maggie’s Gift Shop! Still looking for the perfect spot to bring your pooch? Bring your furry first mate to Pirate’s Cove to join the party and play all day!
These Boots are Made for (Dog) Walkin’
Your pup can fill their bags with bones, treats, a whole new wardrobe after a visit to The Wharf in Orange Beach. There’s plenty of outdoor seating options for dogs to take a rest and soak up the sunshine. Stop by Good Dog Boutique to grab a stylish new collar, a comfy beach shirt, or even little shoes to protect their feet from the heat! After you’ve decked out your doggie, take them by Shades to find a little something for yourself and meet the Shades dogs! Your pup will love making new vacation friends in a cool, air conditioned space.
Welcome to the Bark Park
If you’re in search of a pup friendly playground, we’ll throw you a bone. Come visit the Gulf Shores Dog Park and let your doggo run wild and free! Your best buddy will love hanging out with fellow island pups and playing in a secure space with their favorite humans. All members of your canine crew must be on a leash until they are in the park and must leave the park with a leash on as well.
A friendly reminder to water your dogs well and be mindful of hot pavement during our warm summer months here on the Alabama Gulf Coast. We love all our four-legged friends and want them to have a fun and safe time visiting!
