GULF CAMP: Summer Day Camp in Gulf State Park
The Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability has teamed up with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment to bring you Gulf Camp!
Located in beautiful Gulf State Park, Gulf Camp offers a week of fun and adventure for youth ages 7–13. There are four one-week sessions throughout the month of July.
- Activities include kayaking, biking, beach exploration, swimming, nature, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking and more.
- Camp takes place Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- One five-day session costs $195 per camper. Single day passes are available for $45/day.
- Camp takes place at the Learning Campus in Gulf State Park, Lake Shelby, the Beach Interpretive Center, and the Backcountry Trail.
2024 Schedule:
Session 1: July 8–12
Session 2: July 15–19
Session 3: July 22–26
Session 4: July 29–August 2
Sample Week: Monday is arts, hiking, outdoor activities at the Learning Campus. Tuesday is biking, rainy day activities if needed at the Learning Campus. Wednesday is biking, outdoor cooking, shoreline exploration at Lake Shelby. Thursday is kayaking, outdoor cooking, nature art at Lake Shelby. Friday is swimming, dune ecology, solar oven at Beach Pavilion/Interpretive Center. (All activities are subject to change due to weather.)
