Folks of all ages, shapes and colors are encouraged to dress up in their “patriotic” best red, white, and blue for the Flora-Bama’s 1st Annual 4 Mile Freedom Run and 1 Mile Fun Run at 8am Sunday, July 4th.
A $10 registration will get all who participate a t-shirt (only guaranteed for the first 400), swag and medals to celebrate our freedom. Winners for top 10 male/female will receive a $25 Flora-Bama gift card. Awards party to follow with a food buffet, drinks and the great sounds of Mike Diamond. A portion of the proceeds from this race will benefit Operation Re-Connect, a non-profit bringing together families of service men and women after overseas combat deployment to reconnect with their families in the communities of Perdido Key, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach.
Featured artists throughout the day on both sides of the street across six stages include, Carly Rogers, Justin Johnson Trio, Charlie Argo Band, Al & Cathy, Jamell Richardson, Jenna McClelland Band, Tony Ray Thompson, David Dunavent, Perdido Brothers, Albert Simpson w/ John Kullinich, Kaleb King Duo, Tim Roberts, and Mel Knapp.
Both eateries on the North side of the road, Flora-Bama Ole River Grill and Flora-Bama Yacht Club are open every day for dine in and for walk up bar service with live music.
Join the patriotic party by land or sea and pull your boat up! Free parking all week and cover charge only at the main Flora-Bama starting at 6pm, $5 adults and $15 for 18-20 year olds with spectacular fireworks at 9pm Gulf side only.
