Discovery Day is an open house event at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab that gives you the chance to learn about current research and more about the coastal ecosystem we live in. The day includes a chance to explore real scientific laboratories, hands-on science lessons, and free children’s admission to the Alabama Aquarium. The Graduate Student Organization will also offer some tips in casting.

Alabama Aquarium Tank Feedings
Curious about what the team feeds its animals? Join them during one of the tank feedings to get your questions answered by its Aquarists.
- 11 a.m. – Delta Feeding
- 12 p.m. – Ray Feeding
- 1 p.m. – Bay Feeding
- 2 p.m. – Gulf Feeding
- 3 p.m. – Ray Feeding
