Sometimes you need a little break from your fast-paced life, a break that we like to call vacation. When you’re ready to take a step back and let’s just say… smell the chocolate, get out of the summer sun, or take a few moments to relax in the air conditioning, then it’s time to treat yourself and the whole family with a visit to Kayden’s Candy Factory in Orange Beach. Don’t let the name mislead you though, because there is a whole lot more to Kayden’s than just candy; we promise. One might say candy is just the starting point.

1. Breakfast – It’s breakfast time and something soft and fluffy is calling your name, and it’s not your pillow urging you to stay in bed; it’s Kayden’s freshly made donuts and bagels! Stop by and begin your morning at Kayden’s with a freshly made treat and a nice, hot cup of coffee to get your day started before heading to the beach. You never know, you might even find something you want to snack on later (we won’t tell if it doesn’t make it to later). Check their website before you go, though. Their breakfast is served seasonally.
2. Candy – If you are looking for a wide variety of homemade candies, Kayden’s is the place for you. We’re talking 33 truffle flavors, 10 different fudge flavors, and more than 72 homemade treats! Don’t even get us started on the things they cover in chocolate; you name it and they have probably dipped it in chocolate; Rice Krispy treats, pretzels, Oreos and bacon to name a few. Did we mention chocolate-covered bacon?

3. Homemade Ice Cream – “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!” There’s no need to scream, there’s plenty of homemade ice cream for everyone at Kayden’s. It’s hard to decide which flavor you want when there are 32 of the most creative and delicious options to choose from all homemade at Kayden's. If you didn’t have ice cream on the brain when you walked in, you will surely have a brain freeze from trying all of the flavors when you walk out.
4. Arcade – When it’s time for the adults to relax, but the kids aren’t tired yet, Kayden’s Candy Factory is the place to be. Sit back, relax, and indulge in as many sweets as humanly possible (remember, calories don’t count on vacation) while your little ones play in the mini arcade to their heart’s content. After all of the sugar that you consumed, did you get a burst of energy? The arcade is most definitely parent-friendly, so go show those kids how it’s done!
5. Wine, Chocolate, and Beer Pairings – There are three glorious things in the world: wine, chocolate and beer, and you can get all three at Kayden’s. At Kayden’s you can participate in wine and chocolate pairings as well as beer and chocolate pairings to see what type of chocolate compliments what type of beer or wine the best.
