The Run the Beach Half Marathon Series, which takes place in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach throughout the year, is the perfect way to vacation and stay in shape. With some events taking place on the weekends of traditionally food-focused holidays (looking at you, Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day), striking a balance between keeping up your mile time and indulging in everything covered in gravy is easy! Being near the beach makes the premise even better.
Big Beach Half Marathon
Check your New Year’s resolution progress on January 28, 2018 at the Big Beach Half Marathon. The race starts and finishes at the entertainment & dining epicenter of Gulf Shores, The Hangout. Each participant will receive a custom finisher’s medal, long sleeve tech race shirt, plus access to post-race party with beer, food, and live music.
Sea Turtle Half Marathon
The Sea Turtle Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Enjoy a run through Gulf Shores that ends with a party at The Hangout in Gulf Shores where runners are served food and drinks (alcoholic beverages only if you’re over 21, of course).

Shed your turkey with us at the beach on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Bring the whole family to enjoy the weekend on Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast. Enjoy your run on a fun mix of paved trail through the Orange Beach, Gulf Shores. Most of the race takes place on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail which winds through Gulf State Park.
Once you've finished all three, you'll receive a medal depicting all three Gulf Coast Marathon races and a shell jacket after completing the Kaiser Half Marathon in November 2018.
