The Flora-Bama Yacht Club
16. In the evening, bring the kids (or kids-at-heart) to one of the many family-fun attractions in the area. Get your Jordan Speith on with a little putt putt or pit the family against each other with bumper boats or go-carts. Bowling your thing? Or maybe your group would rather shoot each other with lasers or bazooka balls? Whatever your level of competitiveness, there’s a place for you to get in the game.
15. Grab the flashlights and try to spot crabs on the beach. Many sea turtles nest and hatch along Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, searching for their way to the water following the moon light. Artificial lights (like your phone or flashlight) disorient them to take the wrong path. To avoid this stop, by one of the Welcome Centers for a free red sticker to emit low-UV red lighting to help protect our turtle tribes.
14. Take in a history lesson with a Twilight Tour of Fort Morgan. You know all those Southern clichés about us dressing up and reenacting history? Turns out, it’s a cliché for a reason.
13. Ride the Ferris Wheel at the Wharf.
12. The college kids flock to the Flora-Bama and for 2 main reasons: bushwhackers and band parties. We don’t blame them.
11. Unleash your inner sculptor at Sand Castle University in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. Bring your friends for a unique experience!
10. Live Bait Restaurant and Nightclub is a premiere nightclub where music, dancing, and special events are the talk of the town. Come party there is always something exciting happening!
9. Depending on the time of year, check out local events like The Hangout Music Festival, The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival, Wharf Boat & Yacht Show, The Shrimp Festival, and The Annual Orange Beach Festival of Art.
8. Many local establishments have bands rocking on the weekdays and weekends. Check out LuLu’s at Homeport Marina, Tacky Jack’s, Flora-Bama Yacht Club, OSO , and Ginny Lane's Bar & Grill for local and regional acts playing year round.
7. Warm up your vocal cords and head to the Sandshaker at The Wharf for Karaoke. Mic check one two, one two.
6. Couples looking to get all romantic can enjoy Sunset Cruises on one of the many boat charters. They serve a gourmet dinner and, you know, sunsets.
5. Get your recreation in like a celeb when you take a tour with Lost Bay Helicopters. A view of the sunset so good, it makes the seagulls jealous.
4. SPECTRA Laser Light Experience at The Wharf has choreographed lighting effects with state-of-the-art lasers and surround-sound music that delivers a unique experience for snowbirds and locals! The music is selected to engage audiences of all ages. Main Street transforms into a magical stage, and the palm trees become the stars for the night. Nightly shows begin at 6 & 7 P.M.

3. Visit the Gulf State Park Pier at night to cast your line or take a stroll. Share your catch with us on Facebook (and if the grandkids set your account up for you, make them share your photo…they’re the ones who brought out your inner Social Media addict, after all).
2. Add a little culture to your evening with a play at South Baldwin Community Theatre - you won't be disappointed!
1. Traveling with a movie buff (or popcorn addict)? There’s a movie theater in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach to see a show. Check out AMC Classic Wharf 15 or CMX Cinemas Pinnacle 14. See whatever you want, but we don’t suggest Jaws or Sharknado.
