We know your furry friends are like your family. Which means the family vacation isn't complete without them. Unfortunately, The City of Gulf Shores does not allow dogs on their beaches. More specifically, no dogs or animals are allowed on any of the public sand beaches or at any part of the public beach accesses, including the newly renovated Gulf Place, according to the Code of Ordinances – Section 6-8.
The city wants residents an visitors to know that beach inspectors regularly patrol the public beaches and public beach accesses and will enforce all beach safety rules. While there are plenty of pet-friendly lodging options in Coastal Alabama, visitors renting a vacation home or condominium within the City of Gulf Shores are encouraged to contact the property management organization or home owner for additional information related to rules and regulations of the private beach area associated with the location.
