Stay tuned for 2019 dates/times for these awesome events!
Here in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, our spring brings more than just blooming flowers. We’ve got great events popping up all over the place. We certainly hope your plans have you heading our way to enjoy car shows, live music and a competitive run or two!
April gets started with the 25th Annual Camellia Classic Open Car Show at Bellingrath Gardens & Home near Mobile. From the Gulf Shores area you can take the Mobile Bay Ferry or enjoy a leisurely drive north to cross the bay on I-10 or the Causeway.
The show will feature hundreds of vintage automobiles on the Great Lawn. Bring a canned good to donate to Feeding the Gulf Coast to receive $1 off admission. This discount is only applicable for Gardens-only tickets purchased at Bellingrath on the day of the event.
Looking for a soundtrack for your spring beach vacation? The Wharf has you covered. In April, the much anticipated annual C Spire Concert Series kicks off. April’s concerts include the following:
Styx and REO Speedwagon with Special Guest: Don Felder on April 14, 2018
Chris Young with Special Guest: Kane Brown, Morgan Evans, and Dee Jay Silver on April 20, 2018
For spicy fun, check out the Waterway Village Zydeco & Crawfish Festival on April 14. The festival promises to boil up plenty of fun. Sink your teeth into some hot, juicy, lip-smacking crawfish while dancing to the infectious rhythms of some of the best Zydeco bands from around the South. There will be crawfish races, arts and crafts vendors, children's activities and even an authentic 80-foot shrimp boat on hand offering nonstop fun for all ages.
If your spring isn’t in high gear by April 28, it will be with the Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast's Greatest Beach Party at the Flora-Bama! Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest. Trust us, it is just one of those things you have to experience in person to fully appreciate.
