Walk This Way: 80s 5K & Block Party brings a totally tubular throwback experience to Downtown Foley on September 12, 2026. Participants can lace up, dress up and party like it’s 1985 during this high-energy event combining a festive 5K with an unforgettable block party.
The event supports local education initiatives through the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation and welcomes participants who want to run, walk, skate or simply enjoy the music and nostalgia.
The 80s 5K
The scenic 5K course winds through Historic Downtown Foley and the beautiful Rose Trail before finishing at Heritage Park. Costumes are highly encouraged, so participants can break out their brightest neon, windbreakers, leg warmers and favorite 80s-inspired looks.
Whether chasing a personal best or cruising with friends, the 5K is all about having fun and embracing the spirit of the decade.
The Block Party
Following the race, Heritage Park transforms into an ultimate 80s celebration featuring live music from 80s cover band Disco Kiss and special guest 80s Condo Queen Kylee Kubat. Guests can enjoy music, dancing and plenty of nostalgic fun as the finish line turns into a full-scale throwback party.
The block party is BYOB-friendly, with guests asked to follow event guidelines and local regulations. Food will also be available for purchase from a variety of food truck vendors throughout the evening.

Block Party Only tickets are available for guests who want to skip the 5K and head straight to the celebration. Whether running the course or joining the party afterward, the event offers a fun way to relive the music, fashion and nostalgia of the 1980s.
