17th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival has a new home!

For the first time in 17 years, this iconic Gulf Coast tradition has been relocated due to an increase in visitors year after year. OWA is proud to welcome the festival to their state-of-the-art property located at 100 N OWA Blvd!

Presented by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival welcomes more than 40 hot air balloonists from across the country to light up the green space at OWA. Enjoy the floating works of art as they grace the skies of South Baldwin County in the heart of Foley on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at dawn & dusk. The Festival kicks off on Thursday, May 6th with a balloon glow from 6-8pm.

This family-friendly event has something for everyone! Now that it's being held at OWA, guests will have the opportunity to take advantage of the expansive array of amenities that OWA has to offer! Enjoy delicious restaurants, unique retail shopping options, a variety of entertainment attractions, and of course, The Park at OWA, it’s themed amusement park with more than 20 rides and attractions. Traditional festival activities will also be added throughout the property during the festival weekend featuring children’s activities, tethered balloon rides, balloon glows, balloons in flight, artisan and food vendors, live music, and more! For a small fee, use of the VIP area gives you a place to eat, rest, and enjoy the fellowship!
