7. Key Lime Pie – Playa Restaurant, Orange Beach
If rich desserts aren’t your thing, you can’t go wrong with this light, refreshing key lime pie made with a delicious sweet cream with a tart lime flavor, a crumbly gram cracker crust, and of course a healthy serving of whipped cream on top!
6. Bushwacker – Pirates Cove, Elberta
Ok, technically not a dessert, but you top your next meal off with just one sip of this thick, Kahlua-filled chocolate shake (topped with a bit of Bacardi 151 if you choose), and you’ll be one happy camper. Although you may think that said 151 is to blame for anyone’s love of this dessert, even sans this powerful spirit, a Bushwacker truly is the perfect sweet cure for a hot, summer day.

5. Beignets – Cafe Beignet, Gulf Shores
Make everyone jealous at the sight of powered sugar on your face. Enjoy a few beignets from Cafe Beignet in Gulf Shores. This New Orleans inspired dessert is wildly popular, and for good reason. Not only do they have the classic beignet, they have options filled with vanilla pudding and covered in chocolate syrup. Yum!

After a hearty helping of all-you-can-eat spaghetti from Gelato Joe's, order the dessert that gave this favorite Foley restaurant its name. Try one of the 20+ flavors of gelato made in-house. The worst part of the whole experience will be picking which flavor to get.
3. Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss Milkshake – The Yard Milkshake Bar, Gulf Shores
Are you looking for a dessert you can eat AND make all your Instagram followers jealous? The Yard Milkshake Bar in Gulf Shores is the place to go. While The Yard is famous nationwide, their Gulf Shores shop is the original location! There are plenty of over-the-top concoctions you can choose from, but one of our favorites is the Peanut Butter Brownie Bliss: brownie batter ice cream in a peanut butter dipped jar with dark chocolate shavings, topped with whipped cream, chocolate and peanut butter drizzle, and a whole brownie. You might need to be rolled out of the restaurant when you're done.

2. Gourmet Truffles – Chocolate Corner & Ice Cream, Gulf Shores
Anyone who can conquer this temperamental candy in our deep south humidity is worth a nod, but the homemade gourmet chocolate truffles at Chocolate Corner are crave-worthy. Go ahead, have yourself a bite of rich chocolate outside and be blown away by the soft ganache interior that comes in a variety of flavors.

Coffee lovers, this one's for you. The Southern Grind Coffee House at The Wharf has so many delicious options from food to beverages, but the affogato al caffe is *chef's kiss*. It's two scoops of gelato served with two shots of espresso and topped with whip cream, dusted with cocoa powder. Enough said.
