Mullet Madness
In April, we’ve got three fun-filled events centered around the infamous mullet—and no, not the hair style you rocked in the 80s, though we’re sure it looked great at the time. First up is the Annual Mullet Man Triathlon on April 12. Starting at 7am, participants will swim, bike and run to victory as they conquer the 27th year of this challenge. Spectators are also welcome and immediately following the race, a celebration with food and drinks provided at the Flora-Bama will begin.
Next, get ready to swing big and party even bigger April 23 at the 27th Annual Mullet Swing Golf Classic! This four-person scramble hits the greens at Peninsula, with a max handicap of 30 per player and a mission to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. For $900 per team, you'll score a Flora-Bama shirt, custom golf balls, green fees, cart and all the food, drinks and good times you can handle—plus plenty of giveaways and chances to win prizes. Trophies go to the top Net & Gross teams, longest drives, closest to the pins (and the mullet!) and more.
That same week on April 25-27, head over to the Flora-Bama for the locally-loved Mullet Toss and join in on The Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party! This three-day extravaganza includes activities, music and community thrills you just can’t miss—not to mention the iconic tradition of tossing a mullet over the Flora-Bama line.
