Here in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, there’s little we love more than decadent cuisine served with a side of waterfront views. We’ve already got some of the best chefs in the country in the kitchens of our local restaurants, but this November, the kitchen (and the competition) is heating up even

So, what exactly is WFC?

So you know all those food competitions that go on throughout the year? It seems like just about every city has one: Festival of Flavor, Chili Cook-offs, Dessert Throwdowns, Hogwild Festivals, Burger Bashes…the list goes on and on. The winners take home the trophy and…then what?Enter World Food Championships.

This week-long showdown pits hundreds of cooking and culinary teams from around the world against each other in varying categories.












At the end of the week, only one chef will stand proud as the official World Food Champion (and winner of $100,000 in cash and prizes)! Right here in Orange Beach, the masters of the food world are coming together for the ultimate food fight, and we’ve got all the deets. ..

Take a bite out of the World Food Championships on any budget

Let’s start where you’re most concerned. What’s the cost of such a fabulous event? We’re so glad you asked because we know you’re going to love (like, seriously l-o-v-e) the answer.

Admission cost is exactly $0. Your favorite number, amirite?

Of course, it’s the World Food Championships, so you know there are going to be events throughout the whole week. Luckily, no matter what you want to spend, there’s something within your budget.WFC

The Tasting Village Here you’ve got sweet and savory bites to try from local and global brands. And at only $5 per day (free for kids 10 & under), you can’t beat that! Your ticket also gains you access to Sizzle Spot where you can listen to culinary tales from amazing chefs. Enjoy the Tasting Village November 11- November 13.

Bourb’N’Que FUNdraiser Kick off the weekend by supporting several local charities at the gorgeous Heron Pointe. Nab your ticket ($75 for general admission and $100 for VIP), and don’t miss out on Friday, November 11th. Sip on Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey samples and devour premium pork from Compart Duroc for a good cause? Don’t mind if we do…

Low Country Boil Speaking of gorging on delicious cuisine in the name of charity, don your flip flops and Join WFC and Operation BBQ Relief for a delicious and traditional Low Country Boil! Tickets for this all-you-can-eat affair benefiting Operation BBQ Relief are $20.

Around the World in 20 Bites On Saturday November 12, take a tour through the world of food with Chef David Skinner of the modern farm-to-table restaurant eculent. For $49, guests will dine on four iconic dishes from five countries – the United States, Great Britain, France, Italy, and the Philippines presented in a way you’ve never experienced.

Food Champ Judging Class Interested in the world of judging? Get your $60 ticket to this class which takes you through WFC’s proprietary E.A.T Methodology so you can be eligible to judge at any WFC event starting 2017. (pssst: tickets sell out fast to this one)

It’s truly going to be an EPIC week.
