South Baldwin Community Theatre presents: School House Rock Live on from Friday July 23 to Sunday July 25. The Emmy Award-winning 1970’s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs is now instructing to a whole new generation. NOW, LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S EVENTS.
Come on out and join your friends for a “toast to the Gulf” with all your favorite players at the Flora-Bama from July 23 to July 25. The Flora-Bama invites everyone out to an eclectic weekend of fun and food along with over $3,000 in vacation get-a-ways and prizes, from 2-6 pm. Live music will be at the San Roc Cay Courtyard in Orange Beach on Wednesday July 28th to Saturday July 31st, from 6pm to 9pm each night. Stroll through the many shops while listening to a variety of great local musicians and bands that heighten the experience that you can only have at San Roc Cay! Free Summer Kids Show Continues at the Cobb Pinnacle 14 in Gulf Shores. On July 27th through July 29th, the theater will be showing Where the Wild Things Are, rated PG. The show starts at 10am each day and for more info, you can go to cobbtheaters.com
THIS WEEK ON OUR CAMPS AND CLASSES FEATURE, WE FOCUS IN ON
Orange Beach Public Library’s Family DIY series continues Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 10 a.m. until noon with Garden Stepping Stones. Families are invited to learn more about the strengths and weaknesses of concrete as a construction tool while creating useful yard art. Individuals as well as family groups are welcome to attend and the event is free to the public, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
