There’s a statement on the Big Fish sushi menu that pretty much sums it up: Sushi is its Own Entity. They are talking about the fact that they make it per order, per person and that can have an impact on the timing. But it really goes beyond that. Sushi truly is its own thing. It is unique. Either you love it or you don’t.
And if you love it, you’ll love Big Fish Restaurant in Orange Beach, Alabama. Owners Leck and Jana Lilayuva have spent more than 30 years in our area. They operate their restaurant with the strong belief that keeping the locals happy is key to their success. And it works. The warm and friendly atmosphere is just the sort of place where locals meet. And as a visitor you feel like you’ve stumbled upon some wonderful, genuine find.
Now… on to the sushi!
You can start small with an appetizer like the Chili Garlic Sashimi. The dish features cubed tuna and avocado, tossed with cilantro and a special chili garlic sauce. It is served in a wonton cup & drizzled with sweet soy reduction.
When you are ready to roll, the choices are almost endless. Some of our favorites include the signature Big Fish Roll with white tuna, cucumber, topped with spinach and drizzled with eel sauce, the
Lobster Roll with tempura fried lobster, cucumber topped with avocado, crunch, sweet chili sauce, and eel sauce, and the Spicy Scallop Roll with diced scallops mixed in Sriracha, cilantro, Sriracha and sweet soy.
But the best option by far is to visit Big Fish and work your way through the sushi menu to find your own favorite.
