It is cliché to say that time flies, but each year when Labor Day weekend approaches we are seemingly caught off guard. Where did the summer go? What about all those plans we had for family fun together? We just got busy and the weeks went by.
Don’t worry. We still have time to make some amazing summer memories on the Alabama Gulf Coast this Labor Day weekend. We can do all our favorite activities: beach time, dining on fresh seafood, shopping, golf, fishing and enjoying the attractions. And there are plenty of events to add music, art and some competitive running.

2016 Tacky Jacks Bloody Mary 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run, the Gulf Shores location
Sep 3: 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Waterway Village Art Market
Great original works of local and regional artists, delicious food and wonderful entertainment by local bands.
Sep 4: 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight
Labor Day Street Party at The Wharf
Kids activities begin at 5pm and will include: rock climbing wall, surfboard simulator, bouncy houses, face painting ($5-$10), balloons, live animals, fire hula hooper, juggling act, pony rides ($5), games, prizes and more!
