On Monday, February 20, Main Street at The Wharf will transform into the Pleasure Island Mardi Gras Festival.

On Monday, Feb. 20, Main Street at The Wharf will transform into the Pleasure Island Mardi Gras Festival.

The fun begins at 10am and run till 10pm or longer!

Admission and parking is FREE. Families will enjoy free face-painting, street entertainers, fire breathers, clowns, a giant slide, and bounce house.

Oh yeah, and two parades.

The first begins at 2pm, with a brand new Kid and Pet parade. This event will allow you to throw beads and miniature stuffed animals to the kids as they walk down Main Street.  The music starts right after this parade with Wes Baylis on stage from 3pm to 5pm.

At 5pm, The Wharf Mardi Gras Parade begins!  There will be bands, Go-Karts, floats, plenty of beads, and all of your favorite Krewes showing off some of the best costumes and decorations in the area.

The fun does not stop there, as the floats will make their way up and down Main Street and then stop, giving Revelers an opportunity to take pictures with the Krewes and their floats.

At 6pm the cool sounds of the Knee Deep band will take center stage for the rest of the evening. For more information contact Rob Lynch at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 941-780-0538.  www.WharfResort.com .
