Summertide Theatre is back…Dames At Sea sails into Gulf Shores June 2011!

Talent travels south!...and 2011SummerTide Theatre is proof! The professional summer theatre of The University of Alabama will present Dames at Sea, a classic story of a country girl, trying to make it in the world, finding stardom and love aboard a battleship in the award-winning musical. For the eighth year, The George C. Meyer Performing Arts Center is home to these delightful and upcomng talents. Beginning Friday, June 3 thru Friday July 1, 2011, performances will be held Tuesday thru Sunday evenings at 8:00pm.

Since 2004, The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences Department of Theatre and Dance has presented professional theatre in Gulf Shores with productions designed and directed by UA professors, and featuring UA students from the musical theatre program. This year’s production of Dames at Sea, directed by Professor of Theatre and Founding Chairman of the UA Department of Theatre and Dance, Dr. Edmond Williams, promises an evening of sheer delightful entertainment. Tickets may also be purchased online 24/7 by visiting www.summertide.org. Ticket prices are $18.00 for adults and $12.00 for anyone 12 and under. The George C.
