Recycle Your Christmas Tree and Help Build Our Sand Dunes

Here is a great way to help protect our beaches--Recycle your Christmas Tree!

The drop-off  is located in the Gulf State Park Pier parking lot, toward the east end. Trees will be accepted through the month of January.

Please remove all decorations including tinsel, and no artificial trees are allowed.

The trees will be utilized to help build the secondary dune line and also be bundled together and sunk under the dock area of Middle Lake in the park to attract fish. The state park offers a fishing program for kids and this "artificial reef" will enhance their chances of hauling in the big one.
